How long it takes

  • Production: 5–10 business days. Every piece is cut and finished to order — nothing sits in a warehouse.
  • Transit: 3–7 business days once it leaves the workshop.
  • Total: approximately 10–17 business days from order to doorstep.

Where it ships from

Your piece is handcrafted at our partner workshop in Vietnam and shipped directly to you via DHL, FedEx or UPS. All customs clearance for US deliveries is handled by us — there is nothing for you to pay on arrival.

Tracking

You'll receive a tracking number by email within 1–2 business days of dispatch. Tracking can take a day or two to activate; if it hasn't updated after 3 business days, message us and we'll chase it.

Currently shipping within the United States only. Outside the US? Let us know and we'll notify you when your country opens.

1-Year Warranty

Every Graintables piece carries a 12-month craftsmanship warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

What's covered

  • Structural failure — joints separating, base instability, hardware failure under normal use
  • Cracking or splitting beyond the natural checking of solid wood
  • Finish failure — peeling, lifting or clouding under normal indoor conditions

What's not covered

  • Normal wear, scratches and patina from everyday use
  • Damage from misuse, moisture, or outdoor exposure (unless the piece is built for outdoors)
  • Alterations, refinishing or repairs made by someone other than us
  • The natural variation and seasonal movement inherent to solid wood

How to claim

Message us through our Contact page with your order number and a few photos. We'll assess and then repair, replace, or refund the piece — at no cost to you for covered defects.

30-Day Returns

Changed your mind? You have 30 days from delivery to return a non-custom piece in its original condition and packaging.

How it works

  • Contact us first through the Contact page with your order number — please don't ship anything back before we confirm.
  • We'll send return instructions and the correct address.
  • Refunds are processed within 2 business days of the returned piece arriving and passing inspection; your bank may take up to 7 more days to show it.

Who pays for return shipping

If the piece arrived damaged, defective or not as described, we cover return shipping in full. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Custom pieces

Items made to a custom size, finish or design are built specifically for you and can't be returned — except in cases of damage or defect. We'll always confirm the details with you in writing before we start.

Solid wood furniture deserves better than a cardboard box and hope. Every Graintables order travels protected — and if anything goes wrong in transit, we make it right.

How we pack

  • Corners and edges shielded with foam and rigid board
  • Surfaces wrapped to prevent scuffing and pressure marks
  • Moisture-safe packaging that guards against damp, mold and pests on the journey
  • Hardware and instructions sealed in a separate pouch so nothing goes missing

If it arrives damaged

Report it within 7 days of delivery with photos of the piece and its packaging. We'll replace it or refund you in full — and we cover the return shipping. No arguments, no restocking fees.

Missing anything?

Let us know within 48 hours of delivery if a part or piece of hardware is missing and we'll dispatch a replacement immediately.

Will the color match the photos exactly?

We photograph every piece as faithfully as we can, but two things make small differences normal: screen calibration, and the wood itself. Every slab carries its own grain and tone, so no two Graintables pieces are identical — that variation is the signature of solid wood, not a defect. Unsure between finishes? Does it require assembly?

Light assembly only, and we keep it simple: every piece arrives with pre-drilled joins, all hardware included, and clear step-by-step instructions. Most customers are done in minutes with a screwdriver or drill. Want a walkthrough? Our team is one message away.

Is the wood protected against termites and moisture?

Yes — three layers of protection. The timber is kiln-dried and treated before it ever reaches the workshop; each finished piece is sealed with natural oils and protective wax; and every order ships in moisture-safe packaging designed to prevent mold and pest damage in transit.

Can I customize the size or finish?

Absolutely — every piece is already made to order, so custom sizing is part of what we do. Need a different width, height, or tone for your space? Talk to us before ordering. Please note custom pieces are made specifically for you and are non-returnable except in cases of damage or defect.

How should I care for my furniture?

Care instructions ship with every piece. Day to day, a soft dry cloth is all it needs. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from standing moisture, and refresh the oil finish once or twice a year — solid wood cared for this way grows more beautiful with age.

We currently ship within the United States only, with free standard shipping on every order. We’re working on expanding — if you’re outside the US, contact us and we’ll notify you as soon as delivery to your country is available.
